Hi Rebecca, I just found you after searching on how to reverse sear. Do you think I could do this on a wood smoker for the low and slow part, then transfer to a HOT grill for the sear? I don't currently have a cast iron skillet, but I so want to try this. Thanks for your advice! Not to go over the top, but I think I fell in Like with you. :-) HAHA!

Yes, you can do your method, any pan at all is fine!!! Be careful since the sear goes super fast -- so a super hot pan, and don't over cook. I love the wood smoker, it will be awesome!!! Let me know!

Ha ha ha! Bigfellr you made me laugh! But you can achieve that too -- cook at 300 the same, and it will be, but much more tender than just pan frying.

Yes, I did two because it's super hot today, so much of the nation, and there is a big demand for portable air conditioners -- I love the one I reviewed, and I also wanted to show the steak -- I think lots would want to sear it outside on the grill -- Summer time and all!
