Rebecca Brand shows how to TRAP RATS AND BAIT rat traps, snap trap setting method that WORKS. http://amzn.to/2paKIMk Testing of sticky traps, Rat trap setting kit, How to bait a rat trap, this method works, I use this type of trap, because it's easy to set and works great. I show how I bait it with Nutella, and a broken pecan, which is the best bait ever, much better than peanut butter. I show you how sticky traps don't work, and the real ways to catch, trap, and kill rats. I recommend this trap: http://amzn.to/2paKIMk I was not paid for this video. I just wanted to share this. I make about 10 cents to 20 cents per purchase, it's not about making the little money, just thought you may like an easy way to get the cheapest trap of this type easily off Amazon. tbh we've had this mouse.. or maybe various ones in our home for like four months, and I stumbled upon your video Saturday night, did something similar to what you had in your kit ( we used chunky peanut butter instead of nutella ) but used the same traps, and Monday morning, we caught a mouse!
REVIVEHER (29 days ago)
You absolute weirdo!
Michael Martin (1 month ago)
Thanks for the Nutella and pecan tip, I'm certainly going to try it since the rats I have are not interested in the bought "rat bait goo" anymore nor peanut butter. I have to say though, I can't blame the rats for wanting to be around you! Damn!
Galaxy Crystal (1 month ago)
You shouldn't use glue traps anyway.
Dan Thiels (1 month ago)
there is a youtube video , the demise of a pack rat , a way to use a victor snap trap without bait , not hard to do , like she says in this video they like straight runs ..... this works great on rats and mice ..... worth a look too .... the nutella bait and pecan is an awesome bait too

+No1 Nicechick if you are in a city , not saying you , but if your neighbors have lots of trash and junk in their back yards or alleyways , throw out food ect ... this might be an ongoing problem .... somewhere there is a den that has gotten over populated and they are looking for more room , just because you catch a couple doesnt mean the issue is solved , keep traps set for a while to see how much traffic you get , sometimes they will leave a trap untouched for weeks .... be careful putting poison out uncovered. if youre in a rural environment , under bushes and shrubs , anywhere they have protection from overhead to hide from hawks and owls id set a trap ..... having a dozen rat traps sounds extreme but not having enough is usually the problem , if they arent used to traps and you set out 10 traps , you will probably get most of them in the first couple nights ..... professional pest control ppl will have a variety of ways to deal with them , i could recommend another channel on here but i dont want to upset Rebecca or anything . use your search engine .... take care and good luck

+Dan Thiels Im off to watch demise of rat packs ☺️
No1 Nicechick (1 month ago)
+Dan Thiels haha! I sure wish you could fly over too 🤣🤣 Thankyou so much! Im thinking Id put up with the smell if that was the end of them. My house is all secure. They've dug one hole next to my drainage pipe. The house is all brick, I know that doesn't stop them chewing through concrete ect. The hole is in mud going down under my house foundations. Im dealing with it by myself. I blocked the whole and over the next few nights the noise?? Wow Im a tough cookie bt that were frightening! It sounded like something were trying to gnaw its way into my living space. The day after I dug the escape for them and haven't heard it like that since. Silly I know bt the noise were frightening.
Dan Thiels (1 month ago)
+No1 Nicechick problem is if they eat the poison they might not come out , die inside and youll be smelling them, then the smell might bring more ..... if thats the only way in and out of the foundation , id put traps near or inside the hole , watch this video and the one i recommended , "the demise of pack rats" ... not only peanut butter or nutella but you can hot glue dog food to the trigger so they cant just lick it off ... or use twine and wrap and knot it around the trigger and work peanut butter or nutella into the twine really well , from some of the videos Ive seen about trapping in the UK you have to make sure you dont get a non target species so you might have to cover the traps with something ...... im out on 10 raw acres so im catching them all the time . do a youtube search of modifying rat traps and pick up some pointers , ...... good luck , wish i could cash in my power ball ticket and fly over and help ya

Hi +Dan Thiels . Ive just been awoke by loud noise and here I am looking over the Internet. Rats found a way into my house foundation. Im british, we have a free agency to deal with rats bt they only come and put a bait box in the garden. Absolutely useless. I heard if you trap them inside the house they will find a way out, even if that way out is inside the house! At the minute they are only in the foundations /inside the wall. I found a hole near the back drainage pipes and Im afraid to block it in case I trap them inside the house?! If they get blocked inside the foundations of my house and I throw some poison down do you reckon they'd get hungry and eat it? I heard they are clever and dnt eat poison? You sound very experienced and Id appreciate any help at all.

Well it looks like my sister was right glue traps don't work and they love Nutella. The rat I have caused major damage to my stove and oven. I can't get my clock or the switch to turn the gas on to cook unless I light my burners with a match.😩
Galaxy Crystal (1 month ago)
Im glad glue traps dont work. Nobody wants to suffer a cruel death anyways.

I'm making a beaver trap.....
Rebecca Brand (2 months ago)
That is interesting
wolfman Angel (3 months ago)
Hi Rebecca,Master exterminator Dave from Canada, you can mix Nutella with wild raspberry, they love this mix with almonds and pecans, field or roof rats, remember to use some peanut oil on your gloves! Rats have a keen sense of smell so human scent will scare them from the traps, remember to wear a mask also the dust , caries fecies, very bad for the health god bless folks good luck!
wolfman Angel (3 months ago)
Also set traps trigger against the wall near the pathways traveled the most by the rats or mice also where feces is or near posts place two traps facing each other where you see activity triggers must face each other for effectiveness, and also you can take shoe boxes cut a hole in each end same side about 2.5' in diameter, this will help them think they are safe paint black inside and out 2-3 of these your in good shape inside buildings only best wishes and blessings all!
Rebecca Brand (3 months ago)
What an amazing comment!!! THANK YOU! I will try that with the gloves, super super great idea!!!!!! You are MASTER!!

I always use a piece of flexible wire to tie my rat traps. I've done this ever since I saw one of my $8 traps going over the fence!
Rebecca Brand (7 months ago)
One of mine just "walked off" 2 days ago!!!! I have NO idea where he went with the trap...

We had a mouse inside our storing room we store there dog food. We dont have these fancy traps :D. So my dad came in and tried to catch it. She hid behind cupboard and my dad jush pushed the cupboard and crushed that mouse against the wall. Then there was blood on wall and rat poop everywhere in room. Thanks for video Rebecca <3
GandalfTheSilver (1 month ago)
+Smetana Utron (Disregard this comment if you've already dealt with the rodent problem.) Sound-emitting devices have been demonstrated as useless in the many product reviews that I've seen. Your best bet would to either set up a "rolling log" trap or a large snap trap with a metal kill-bar. I'd recommend checking out Shawn Woods if you need some insight as to what products work well for trapping rodents. He has tested literally thousands of all sorts of rodent-traping products, and his videos serve as an great resource to review the effectiveness of said products.
Smetana Utron (11 months ago)
Rebecca Brand hello again rebecca. You won't guess what happened. There was spring hot days for few days now but now its cold again and mouse found a home in our house... What a coincidence. I dont even know how it got here we dont leave any doors windows open. But i think they can run on house wall still i dont know how it got here. Its not on in attic like in your video but i think she is in wall or that floor ledge. So we cant lay there any traps. I dont know how to get her away i only hear weird noises like crunching smacking and i hear claws against floor. Its in my bedroom so im sleeping on couch downstairs lol. Do you have any experience with this? I turned on some device against mouse its doing ultrasound but i dont think it cares. I guess i will have to wait until it gets new home or pass away :/ please help and sorry for my english
Rebecca Brand (11 months ago)
Oh wow!! What a story! That's quite entertaining!!! Sorry for the blood on the wall! yuck, rodents are just awful in the house!!

In before the vegans cry
GandalfTheSilver (1 month ago)
Ahh, but you see, veganism isn't as black and white on animal death as you'd intially conclude. Veganism involves practicality; so although it is cruel and immoral to kill an animal that desires to continue living, these animals are destructive pests. It is likely in your best interest to eradicate them as soon as possible, since doing so is practical to maintaining the cleanliness and structural integrity of your home, and to prevent potentially catching a disease (from rodents, many of said diseases are incurable). If you can afford to spend the money on gas and non-kill traps, and the time to relocate them, that would be ideal. But that just isn't an option for many people, including myself.

Thanks for shareing, ....uhmmm. You also may want to keep a spray bottle of rubbing/cleaning alcohol or bleach and maybe a face mask to prevent contamintes. Also i would either use a fishing line or maybe a wire to string the traps so you're guest don't steal them
