Before I rant, I want to say that the dress is lovely and nicely designed! And here I go, just bringing some awareness about the Lolita fashion...
Lolita is based off of the concept of making young girls look innocent, pure, and doll-like for the attention and attraction of grown men. There is history and psychology behind this, and though the fashion itself is cute and trendy, it still stems from a dark and twisted pedophilic fantasy. Let’s not be naïve about this. And no, I’m not trying to trash the Lolita fashion, because obviously I like it too. To me it’s beautiful, decorative, detailed, gentle, elegant, and cute, but it’s also sexualized 50% of the time (possibly more). Japan also has a problem with sexualizing young girls, which is why they market high school kids in their current pop culture. Anyhow, not all fashion industries aim for this, but Lolita has its roots and is still used in a ‘fantasy’ way today.
How do you get contacted to amazing photo shoot sites and connections to this pathway of modeling, specifically to Lolita fashion. Do you have like an agency to get you in touch to do this or...? Regardless, your photos came out amazing and seeing it from this video, the process seems so breathtaking!
The dedication and detail really is something else and love the patience and techniques used doing this type of photo shoot sitting. Beautifully displayed and great use of minimalising the camera usage but with that perfect one taken xx
wait no, she messed up, lolita is a cute touch to it. not a modest. the victorian style was already modest and feminine. she messed that detail up. lolita fashion litterally is just victorian dresses made in a cute girly fashion. thats litterally all it is.
other then that the girl in the video did a beautiful job and im not surprised anyone would want to book her.
either way youve gained a new subscriber
It's funny how people say Lolita has nothing to do with sex and pedophilia when the word became popularized after a book entitled Lolita. It was written in 1955 and told the story of a middle-aged man who has a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl. Say what you want about the fashion and culture now, but the word itself ABSOLUTELY has roots in pedophilia. Lolita was the nickname the man gave the little girl.
I don't mean to shame the people that are into Lolita fashion. If they enjoy it, then that's great, and I think it's super cute, but I don't think it's good to deny a piece of where it comes from just because that part is unsavory and ugly.
No, lolita fashion has as much to do with the damn book as a needle and a window, please do your research before posting shit like that. Sorry if I sound rude but I'm tired of hearing that shit all the time.
Tips of the brand : this lolita brand is call Juliette et Justine, or say JEJ. It is an Japanese lolita brand that mainly sells classic lolita. It one of the most famous lolita brand , normally a dress would cause around 1800-4800 yuan, change into dollars would be 300-800$.
（Now a lot of the countries have different lolita brands,
1.Japan have most famous brands and is more focus on classic and sweet lolita. Most of the shops would have their own offical site , and you can order directly through there. you can either use twit , Facebook, or Instagram to find the official account
2.China is the place that have greatest number of different brand and the highlight of this country's Lolita brand is that the designs are always unique and have creativity. (plus it is super cheap). most of the shop is using TaoBao as the place to trade and the official site that they use to make announcement is weibo . ( I personally like China brands most, it just incredibly amazing!!!!)
3. Europe also have many small brands like China, The dresses mainly focus on it's history or vintage/fantasy style. They mainly go with classic lolita and gothic lolita as the main stream , the price would be higher than other two countries , but it really worth it . the purchase way right now is mainly using Esty and official site I believe, but most of them have official twit/facebook or Instagram.
wish this would be help XXXX
What an amazing set!!! Wow, that looks like such a fun photo shoot, the end results speak for themselves! You did a fantastic job and thanks for sharing this behind the scene footage and your comments. The team seems to be excellent at what they do, and what an honor that the designer was there to see it through! The cat was sooo cute, and I can't rave enough about the gorgeous set! You look great in the dresses and happy to hear that the photo shoot experience was empowering and fun :) Also, I think you did a great job of explaining lolita (victorian/conservative) fashion, dispelling misunderstanding and providing context to it. Good luck on your modeling career and thanks for making this video!
