+Skarlet Reaper Good question. When it comes to outerwear, you’ve got a lot of options when it’s hot.
Choose lightweight and breathable fabrics like cotton and linen. Check this out - https://www.realmenrealstyle.com/dress-sharp-heat/
Sir I have a real problem with my wardrobe, I'm studying in college (pre-med) and I want to look professional and tactful with my appearance. However I live in San Antonio, Texas; where it gets to be over 100 degrees regularly, as well I have to hike with my text books and whatever I'm wearing to my nearby campus 4 miles away. Normally I keep a spare change of clothes in my bag. But how do I keep my bag light and not stuffed, while still maintaining an amazing mature look?
I would not buy Thursday boots. These guys that advertise don’t even wear them. Fork over the extra 100 bucks and buy Allen Edmonds. It’s not a great leather, their leather is subpar at most and the cork blows out quickly which the mark of any quality boot.
When pushing Thursday, you really should always include their outstanding customer service and their EASY return/exchange service. Boot sizes are finicky and I have had to exchange everything I have ever purchased from them, some more than once to get just the right size. They are understanding and very accommodating for an on-line retailer. You owe it to Thursday and your viewers to highlight their fantastic return/exchange service.
I live in the UK, and a classic trenchcoat is a must!
I have a classic stone knee-length Burberry double-breasted coat, a shorter navy single-breasted version and a single-breasted knee-length 100% wool tweed coat. These three cover most of my autumn/winter needs.
Hello Antonio, I'm a new follower and I lov your videos. I work in a business environment but I have to wear a long sleeved Royal blue button down dress shirt. I put on trousers black, light grey, and dark grey. Any ideas please help me out it would be greatly appreciated? Thank you in advance Antonio! Your new follower ~ Starr
Real Men Real Style Jeans. I have them in Natural, so it’s light to medium wash blue jeans only for me with a casual shirt or henley. My Thursday Vanguard in Espresso or AE Higgins Mill in light brown with dark wash or black jeans. My AE Sullivan Streets in brown are my favorites but because they are DRESSY, I only wear them in business casual outfits. Funny, though the Captains in Natural are my least favorite, I end up wearing them the most often because I “save” my dark wash jeans for when I really want to look good. And like all of my other boots, I get compliments on my Captains from women EVERY TIME I WEAR THEM, and I learned about Thursday right here on RMRS 😄
Hey, Antonio. I'm not sure if you can help me, but I was wondering about a certain outfit. Dark blue jeans, a button-down shirt of white or grey color, a brown v-neck sweater, a dark gray sports jacket, and a long scarf. Oh! And a flat cap.
I know it's specific, but I've been experimenting ever since I found your channel and I want to know I'm on the right track.
Great stuff again, Antonio! Appreciate the work you do for us fellas! Personally, when I get my suits made I usually go 3-piece. That way, I can swap out different suits of different colors with the waistcoat! A wardrobe navy, charcoal, and burgundy/black suits can give you dozens of slick combinations!
You never run out of ideas! Love the content!

Hey David - it's never too late to start looking sharp. Carry yourself like a gentleman of some stature. Avoid wearing logo t-shirts, novelty neckties or Hawaiian shirts. https://www.realmenrealstyle.com/man-over-60/
A brown or black vest can go with damn near anything. Jeans, 3 button henley or polo, any of the shoes mentioned in this video, and a brown or black vest definitely work. Throw in a pocket watch if you're a hipster, and you're good to go.
I think hats can actually help dress up/down an outfit. Just today I wore a "gambler's" felt, black hat with oxblood dress shoes, black slacks, black turtle neck, and dark "wine" colored sports jacket and black leather overcoat. I had numerous comments from men and women alike as I was speaking at an event at a casino (hence "gambler* hat) ;-)
Antonio, I get the straight collar is a dress shirt but many of the executives and politicians I saw in DC when I was stationed there wore a button-down with a suit and tie. Maybe not as formal but I think it has become a"dress shirt" as well. I'm also still waiting for you to do some of your videos at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, I think many would enjoy it and you could also talk about how the experience shaped you. As always a great job on giving advise. Semper Fi!
Wow, you are the man!! I just want to thank you for your immense dedication and inspiration to all of us, thanks to you I gain confidence and started on my passion, I started working harder, I also created my youtube channel, it would be an honor if you could see it. Thank you so much for all your videos, for all the hard work and dedication. I'm one of your biggest fans!
Great stuff! Thanks for showing us the best mix and match for style. I wore black and dark gray denims with traditional white Oxford shirts and Tweed jackets as casual dress for years, with several pairs of cowboy boots: nubuck, dress black and cordovan brown. I was accused of "dressing up too much" by my boss. ??? I flat out told him off one day, to quit shopping for polyester crap and dress like a man. No, it didn't go well, but I hired on some where else with better pay and Bennie's. Just goes to show how much you can do with a few well made pieces if you want to work with it!
Thanks again for your time and help!!
Solid video. Per your request, I would add the following:
1. A great steel watch can also be dressed up or down simply by changing the band/strap. As an example, two of my classic dress watches are a Rolex Sea Dweller and Omega Speedmaster. Both come with a steel band; however, I will make both casual by swapping out a rubber band on the Rolex and nato straps for my Speedy (yes - straps with an "s". I have a solid dozen I play around with).
2. With regard to the white button down shirt, I believe a shirt is either casual or formal. Casual white shirts you want a shorter drop - too many guys wear dress shirts that hang too low. Conversely, a dress shirt should hang lower as to be tucked in more effectively.
3. Regarding dress shoes, a great way to make them more casual... colored laces! I have a few non-descript dress shoes that, after adding say a red pair of laces, I have since received many compliments on.
Hey Antonio, thanks for the video. I want to throw a question out to you and the other guys here. When layering a sweater under a sports jacket is it normal and desirable to have the sleeves of the sweater show beyond the sleeve of the jacket like a shirt cuff normally would? If not, do you have any solutions to fix the problem?
Hey David - Sweaters under sports or suit jackets are tricky. You want the sweater cuff to either extend beyond the jacket cuff but fall short of the shirt cuff (ideal) or else be hidden entirely by the jacket so that only the shirt cuff is visible (acceptable). https://www.realmenrealstyle.com/jeans-sweater-matching/
When talking about a white shirt the weave is as important as the actual length of the shirt with respect to versatility. With your arms at your sides, if the untucked shirt comes past your wrists (with maybe an inch to spare) then it is not meant to be worn untucked. Also if shirt tails are pretty "deep" (the arch that is on the side of the shirt that separates the front shirt tails for the rear shirt tail) than it is not meant to be untucked. All in all, shirts that are meant to be untucked can be diverse because there is the flexibility of wearing them tucked in with no one noticing, while still looking sharp.
I totally disagree about Clubmasters and Wayfarers not being dressy, especially if you go tortoiseshell. I cannot wear aviators due to having a small, round face. My tortoiseshell and gold Clubmasters with brown lenses look great on a blue suit, IMO. I agree with all the other points though
Hi sir thanks for replying me . please can you tell me which basic foundation videos i have to watch on your channel . i can't find out there are lot of videos sir . Can you suggest me . I hope you have a nice day . Thanks a lot
One lean wardrobe essential that I would have added is specifically the Oxford cloth shirt in whit, grey, navy and Cobalt blue. Let me know what you think about my suggestion and it's place in a man's wardrobe!
Great video! White sneakers could have been on the list though. They can work with almost anything if you do it right. Would love to see Antonio do a whole video on 'em, with different brands, combinations and occasions.
Amazing!! This guy really knows his stuff and speaks honestly. I’m from a background where people can care less how they dress so learning to dress well was a challenge. A few years later I still come back for new tips and realize how much I have learned in that time. Great stuff!!
I know you're sponsoring Thursday boots which definitely looks like a great company, but i was almost certain id see a pair of white sneakers of the list. You can dress them up, or down, depending on how clean they are
