The second interview is really important because in the first interview they've gotten to know you and now they're calling you in again because they think that you're a potential candidate. But chances are, you're probably up against someone who is equally qualified, someone who they're considering to be on par with you so now it is time to pull out all the stops to make sure that you are the person who gets the job. And how you do that is to make it very explicit why you are the perfect person for this job. Chances are in the second interview, you're interviewing with someone else in addition to first person or the first few people who interviewed you. What they want to do is show you off. They think that you're a great fit and what they're trying to do is either get their boss or someone else from the team to validate their decision. So in that first interview, you should have been, and I hope you were, watching for tell tale signs that you're on the right track. So when someone is nodding their head, moving forward, their posture is indicating that what you're saying is right. And what you wanna do in that second interview is to repeat the same stories that seemed to trigger a positive response in that first interview. One of the other secret little tips is often times the interviewer who had you in the first interview, they will say, 'tell us the story about when you did this', and you wanna make sure as much as possible you tell that same story. And you enhance whatever it is that you told in the first place again but make it relevant to the company you're actually applying for. So make it relevant as much as possible. What you're trying to do is make the fit. The second interview is actually really easy because you've gotten all the indication from the first interview about what went right. What I want you to do in the second interview is to make it more right. Keep going in that same direction. That's how you ace a second interview.
Had a second interview with just me and the owner. I was prepared to answer deeper questions and really show I was the right fit, but he asked me if I had any questions right off the bat, wasn't expecting that. I should have asked something about what he's looking for but I asked him some questions about the business. We just kind of went through my resume but we barely talked about the job I am interviewing for. Man I'm worried, I really want this job.
I Had an interview today was then called an hour later for my second interview which will take place 4 days from now. I was asked mostly behavioral and problem solving questions what should I expect? Any advice? Wish me luck!
Cheers for the Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you tried - Schallingora Information Investigation Scheme (do a google search)? It is a great exclusive product for learning what you need to say to get hired in a job interview without the hard work.
