You ask my opinion ? Is Spaghetti and Meatballs Italian? The classic dish can be found in red-and-white tablecloth spots across the United States. . And, nothing says Italian food like a big bowl of spaghetti and meatballs—unless you are Italian. If you go to Italy, you will not find a dish called spaghetti and meatballs. And if you do, it is probably to satisfy the palate of the American tourist. Yes, Italy has its version of meatballs called polpettes, but they differ from their American counterpart in multiple ways. They are primarily eaten as a meal itself (plain) or in soups and made with any meat from turkey to fish. Often, they are no bigger in size than golf balls; in the region of Abruzzo, they can be no bigger in size than marbles and called polpettines.

Thank you, it's a way to integrate a cool product into a recipe. The recipe stands on it's own and is sponsored by the pots and pans, which are so beautiful, a win win!

Guess what? I just made this recipe with my kiddo, we're just waiting for the sauce to reduce and boil some pasta. Can't wait to try it. Smells good. Thank you for sharing.

You are so fun and enjoyable to watch. I've always considered you to be a little quirky, but now I see you are just crazy. No sane person is going to pay that much for some pots & pans..
Rebecca Brand (7 months ago)
There is a difference I agree, the price ($400 or so) is for this fancy set, but for me I like it to serve right on the table with it, like for dinner parties, big Sunday night dinners, things like that. They are really beautiful. They reduce clean up with me being able to serve from them, a lifetime set for me.

Primo "first course", usually consists of a hot dish like pasta, risotto, gnocchi, polenta or soup. Secondo "second course", the main dish, usually fish or meat. Traditionally veal, pork and chicken are the most commonly used meat, at least in the North, though beef has become more popular since World War II and wild game is very popular, particularly in Tuscany. Fish are those which are caught locally. We eat spaghetti like first dish and meatball like second dish.
