This is a cover performance of the Jann Arden song, "Waiting In Canada", which appears on the CD. This performance also includes highlites of some of the places he's been to in the Great White North. Dennis also gives his thoughts on how home sellers can better their chances in a depressed real estate market.

Dennis Fuentes performs "This December Nite" at the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta

04:18
In June 2017, I visited the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The NMC is Canada's first museum dedicated to preserving Canada's musical heritage and is a must-see for any music lover. Throughout the five floors of the architecturally stunning museum are small spaces with a few chairs, a couch, and a table, where musicians can gather, create, and play music... So I took advantage of the space, set up my ipod, and recorded myself playing some songs - just me and an acoustic guitar. This song is called "This December Nite." I call it the "Christmas song that's also kind of not."

10:00
Canadian Singer/Songwriter Stephen Fearing talks with Folk-Us Radio's Paul Cleveland after Stephen's May 30th 2010 concert at the Peterborough Collegiate Vocational Institute in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, about his current solo concert tour across Canada, the upcoming Blackie & the Rodeo Kings album (which will feature duets with the likes of Emmylou Harris and Serena Ryder), the Juno Awards, life on the road, and his involvement with World Vision. (I shot and edited this interview for 92.7 Trent Radio after attending the concert. Very cool!!...)

Dennis Fuentes + the Occasional Canadians - "Brian Wilson" (Barenaked Ladies cover) February 2010

05:26
Singer/songwriter Dennis Fuentes (formerly of the Occasional Canadians, now of The Dennis Fuentes Band) plays an all-Canadian set at Vaughan's Pub in Chicago, IL in honour of the Vancouver Winter Olympic games (and the guys REALLY get in the spirit of it all!) Here, we do a cover of the song "Brian Wilson" by Toronto's Barenaked Ladies. And if you look closely at the guy who steps in front of the camera, he kinda looks like former Barenaked Ladies lead singer Steven Page... That wasn't planned... really! Joining him are his Occasional Canadians: Tony Calderisi (guitar) and Chris "Coz" Costello (percussion).

The Dennis Fuentes Band - Making the Record: The "Better Days" Sessions 2017

06:21
The Dennis Fuentes Band is back with a new EP, "I Know There Will Be Better Days." The lead single, "Better Days," was recorded in the winter and spring of 2017 and is slated for release this summer. Inspired by a conversation I had with one of my best friends about the outcome of the 2016 US presidential election, this song is about being supportive and kind to each other in these very frightening and uncertain times. This video is a behind-the-scenes look at how the band and I recorded "Better Days" - so you can see how rock 'n roll gets done!

Dennis Fuentes Presents a New Song at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, 2 July 2011

04:15
After several months of writer's block, i attended one day of the Winnipeg Folk Festival's Songwriter's Retreat in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - and got my inspiration back. The retreat is a pre-festival event in which aspiring songwriters gather to collaborate, create, and be mentored by well-known folk and roots music artists. I had the good fortune to receive some mentoring from Juno-award-winning singer/songwriter Connie Kaldor on this song, "Don't You Want to Know," and she even helped me put the groundwork down for a couple of others. (please note: i really only finished writing this song on this particular day and only had a couple of hours to learn it and work out as many performance bugs as i could before presenting it to the group at the student show at the end of the day, but i think you get the gist of this tune with this presentation....).....

Dennis Fuentes - "I Know There's Something Going On" (Frida Lyngstad cover)

04:50
Singer/songwriter Dennis Fuentes (formerly of the Occasional Canadians, now of The Dennis Fuentes Band) performs songs from his new CD, "Letters from Broken Street" and other songs from his home in what he's billing as the "Around the House Tour". This is an all-acoustic version of one of his all-time favourite songs from the 80's - the only post-ABBA hit for singer Anni-Frid "Frida" Lyngstad, "I Know There's Something Going On". Viva Puff, anyone????

Dennis Fuentes meets Stephen Fearing, July 2010

04:03
In July 2010, I went on holidays to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and took a side trip to the city of Peterborough, Ontario, to catch a concert by Canadian singer/songwriter, Stephen Fearing. Stephen wrote the song "One Flat Tire", which I covered on my CD, "Letters from Broken Street". He played it during his set, and he does it SO much better than I ever could. I got to meet him afterward and he was a nice guy - got his autograph and everything...

This is my first ever attempt at playing at a known regional music festival. It was nerve-wracking and a whole lot of fun. I'll be doing this again next year... (By the way - editing this piece on my Mac was a breeze!!! I love my Mac!)

Dennis Fuentes + the Occasional Canadians - "The Middle of Nowhere" (Official "Music Video")

02:26
Here's something different for a music video... In 2010, I visited Toronto, Ontario, Canada for Memorial Day weekend... While I was there, I visited the world-famous CN Tower - the tallest free-standing structure in North America... I taped the ascent in the tower's glass elevator - and turned it into a music video of sorts for the song "The Middle of Nowhere," which is a song off my first CD, "Letters from Broken Street."

Halifax leanrs how to swim

05:23
Here's how I spent my summer vacation! Halifax is my Belgian Malinois dog. This was shot in July 2011 at Lake Winnipeg in central Manitoba while on holidays with my cousins and their families. As you can see, Hali (as I call her) really didn't want to go in the water. But over the course of a few days (and with the help of my family), she became a really good swimmer!

Here, they do a cover of Neil Young's classic, "Helpless". And, yep, once again, this video was edited on my new Mac Mini... The only windows I'll ever allow in my house again are the energy-efficient ones I installed in my house last summer... I'm just saying... Joining him are his Occasional Canadians: Tony Calderisi (guitar) and Chris "Coz" Costello (percussion).
